Factory Theatre’s unique heritage spaces are conveniently located at the corner of Adelaide and Bathurst. A professional theatre, Factory Theatre is also available for theatre productions, special events, weddings, corporate gatherings and film shoots. As Factory Theatre’s mandate is to produce and develop Canadian theatre we will always give priority to applications from companies looking to produce Canadian plays. However, if you are looking for a venue to rehearse your production, there is no stipulation that it be Canadian. For a full application form please click here.

Mainspace
Our Mainspace seats 200. The majority of the theatre season (mid-September to Mid-June) is it in use by Factory Theatre for its subscription series, with some availability in mid-December. The weekly rental rates includes front-of-house, box office services, and the services of the Mainspace Technical Director for a maximum of 40 hours. Daily rentals include the same but Mainspace TD hours are reduced maximum of 8.
Non-Profit rates: Daily - $900; Weekly $4,500 Corporate rates: Daily - $1,200; Weekly $6,500

Studio Theatre
Our Studio Theatre seats a maximum of 100 in the standard proscenium seating confirmation. The weekly rental rate includes front-of-house, box office service, and the services of the of Studio Technical Director for a maximum of 40 hours. The Studio is available for rehearsal purposes but does not include technical assistance, inquire for availability and pricing.
Non-Profit rates: Daily - $650, Weekly $2,500 Corporate rates: Daily - $900, Weekly $3,500

Rehearsal Hall
Our 25’ X 25’ Rehearsal Hall (with a maximum capacity of 50 people) is available for a variety of uses, including rehearsals, readings, meetings, and auditions. Chairs and tables by request.
Rates for bare space: Hourly $15/hour (minimum booking 4 hours), evenings (6pm-10pm) $25/hour (minimum booking 4 hours); Daily $150 (9am to 6pm), Saturdays or Sundays $175 (9am—6pm); Weekly $800 (6 days); Weekly exclusive use $1,000
Courtyard
Our beautiful licenseable courtyard, located on the North-East corner of Bathurst and Adelaide Street, is also available for a variety of uses, pending on details of the event. Seats 70. Standing only 100.
