Olaoluwa Fayokun

Bio
Olaoluwa Fayokun, also known as Lu, is a Nigerian next-gen emerging theatre artist. Process-driven, relationship centred, and seeking to edify people is what he is all about. Lu has over 8 years of on-stage acting experience, is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, and has worked professionally in 3 major Canadian cities. His most recent performance credits include Sankofa: The Soldier’s Tale Retold (Dir. Tawiah M’carthy) and Sinkhole (dir. Keith Fernandez). Alongside acting, Lu is currently expanding his artistry by developing his first ever play, Sunday Best, and engaging in this year’s TEPs program. Through this, Lu endeavours to write and direct stories that centre around the themes of family,
spirituality, and identity. Outside of the arts, Lu is still figuring out what to do with his criminology degree, loves to fix bicycles, plays ultimate frisbee, and engages in one too many hobbies (bookbinding anyone?)
