Rent Our Theatre
Factory Theatre’s unique heritage spaces are conveniently located at the corner of Adelaide and Bathurst. Outside of our regular season productions, our spaces are also available for independent theatre productions, special events, corporate gatherings, and film shoots. While our Studio and Mainspace Theatres are physically accessible for audiences, unfortunately our stages and back-of-house spaces are not. We offer sliding scale rates for corporate, commercial, charitable or non-profit organizations, and film and television productions.
Rentals of one week or more must include one day off in the schedule, if working with our crew or FOH team that day must be Monday. Factory is an IATSE theatre house and manages all technical and casual staff associated with rental productions and events.

Rehearsal Hall
Our 25’ X 25’ Rehearsal Hall is available for a variety of uses including rehearsals, private/invited readings, meetings, and auditions. Basic audio playback and a piano are available at all times. A small inventory of lighting and sound equipment is available for an additional cost
The Rehearsal Hall can be booked by the hour, day, or week.
Studio Theatre
Our Studio Theatre is a black box space that seats 100 in the standard seating, which can be re-configured on request for an additional cost. The Studio hosts only some of our season productions and has multi-week availability throughout the year. Studio rentals include use of the theatre, greenrooms, and lobby. The Studio is also available for rehearsal purposes.
Mainspace Theatre
Our 200-seat Mainstage Theatre is available for theatre productions and as a location for film and television shoots. The theatre features a full inventory of sound and lighting equipment and a video projection system is available for an additional cost. Main Space rentals include use of the theatre, greenrooms, and lobby. Due to the technical requirements of the space, rentals of less than one week are only available under special circumstances.
Carpentry Shop
Our shop is available to rent on a weekly basis and is suitable as a prop shop and for building small to medium sized sets. For safety and insurance purposes, only Factory staff are allowed to operate tools and equipment in the shop. Contact us to discuss rates and labour requirements.
