Adriana Moraes-Mendoza
Bio
Adriana is a latinx, multidisciplinary artist, born and raised in Toronto. She is passionate about storytelling, especially through movement, writing and devised theatre. Recent productions include: Guadalupe (DIR: ANDREA VILLANUEVA), F*cking Perfect (Chocolatekiss Collective, BEST OF FRINGE), How Not To Die Stupidly (DIR: TATIANA JENNINGS), Day of The Locust (DIR: KARIN RANDOJA) How to Build a Flying Machine (DIR: CHRISTINA SERRA and DAN WATSON) and Tiresias (DIR: FIDES KRUCKER and SHARON MOORE). As a writer she was a part of Smoothieland Performance Projects’ writing team, for their first production of It’s Not About Kenny (DIR: MARIE BEATH BADIAN). Adriana was an actor, co-writer and co-director for No Show, performed at the Sears Ontario Drama Festival. No Show won an Excellence award in Directing and Outstanding Ensemble, moving the piece to perform at provincial level. Adriana is a recipient of the Brian Moniz Production & Performing Arts Scholarship and the Ken and Ann Watts Memorial Scholarship. She has recently completed her final year at Humber College’s Theatre Performance Arts program.
