Bio

Ali Farhadi is a Shiraz-born Iranian-Canadian actor, writer, and musician based in Toronto. A multidisciplinary artist, he blends Eastern and Western storytelling traditions to create bold, immersive work across theatre, film, and music. Trained at Toronto Metropolitan University, he has worked with artists like Marianne McIsaac and Cynthia Ashperger, and appeared in productions such as Richard III, Edward II, and The Division with Tarragon Theatre. Ali’s practice explores the intersection of language, music, and narrative, often drawing from his passion for sci-fi and fantasy. He strives to tell stories that are emotional, imaginative, and deeply human. He is eager to share his art with the world and to see if you like him. He would like that—if you liked him.
