Bio

Cameron is a Brampton based actor and theatre creator. He. graduate of the Theatre and Drama Studies program at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto Mississauga. As an actor some of his recent credits include Serving Elizabeth (Stratford Festival), Getting Married, Henry V, Hound of The Baskervilles, The Madness of George III, Dracula (Shaw Festival), Happy Birthday Baby J (Shadow Theatre); as well as productions with Talk Is Free Theatre, Theatre Animal, Theatre Erindale, Secret Shakespeare Series, Canadian Rep Theatre and Clay and Paper Theatre. Some of his other creative work includes assistant directing Nina Lee Aquino in Theatre Eridale’s cecil hotel. As a playwright, Cameron’s first play Meet Chloe, a play that explores the challenges Black students face in the education system and the lack of Black curriculum content in the study of Canadian History, received its premiere at Carousel Players in the fall of 2021 and is currently available to schools virtually through to May 2022. Cameron also works as an artist educator. He has developed and facilitated workshops for The City of Brampton Performing Arts, Theatre Direct, The Shaw Festival, The Rose Theatre, Suitcase In Point Theatre, Branksome Hall and high schools across Ontario. He is excited to be back at Factory Theatre working with Nina on among men!
