Colleen Wagner’s writing interests include plays, screenplays, poetry and short fiction. The Monument won the Governor General’s Literary award and many other awards nationally and internationally and has been translated into a dozen languages and continues to be produced around the world. Other plays include The Morning Bird, produced in English and French; down from heaven, nominated for a MECCA award for best new play in Montreal; Home; The Living, a documentary play; Sand and Eclipsed. She is a past recipient of a SSHRC research/creation grant that took her to Africa for a number of years. She is currently working on two new plays, one that has her travelling across Central and North America; and a series of short stories and poems on love. Short fiction and poetry has been published in various anthologies including Acta Victoriana, Fiddlehead, Dandelion. She divides her time between a riverside farm in New Brunswick and downtown Toronto.
