Bio

Deon Denton is an accomplished writer, director, and actor, serving as the Artistic Director at Promise Productions. She spearheaded the creative vision behind the musical “Pieces of Me” at Canada Christian College (2008) and Theatre Passe Muraille (2013). Deon’s talent shines through in her multi-faceted involvement in the unforgettable “Charlie’s Having a Baby,” a standout production at the 2009 and 2012 Toronto Fringe Festivals, where she penned, starred in, and directed the piece. Her emotionally resonant play, “No Visible Scars,” garnered acclaim at the New York Fringe Festival (Off-Off Broadway). Additionally, Deon explored the effects of alcoholism in the poignant “To Jane with Love,” which captivated audiences at both the 2016 Toronto Fringe and the Midtown Theatre Festival (Off-Off Broadway). Notably, she wrote, directed, and delivered a stellar performance in the ensemble-driven “Things We Lost in The Fire,” which premiered at the Toronto Fringe Festival and the upcoming Factory Theatre Mainstage performance.
