Ganesh Thava

Bio

Ganesh Thava is a queer Tamil-Canadian writer and director working in theatre and film. He trained at George Brown Theatre School and the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. His work explores identity, power, and belonging through diverse socio-economic lenses. At the Toronto Fringe, he directed the Primetime Award-winning My Korean Canadian Friend, premiered and performed in Koli Kari, and is currently directing and dramaturging This Is Not Me. His short films, including The Orchid & The Tree, BARK, and Imposter, have screened internationally. He is the Artistic Director of Pink Banana Productions and is developing the play Age of Discovery, the musical The Accountant, and the feature film Man Abroad.
