Iris Rhian

Bio
Iris Rhian (All Pronouns) is a playwright and actor, and Dual-Citizen of the United States and Canada. Raised in Boston, Iris received their BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. After graduation, Iris held a two-year playwriting fellowship at Central Square Theater in Boston, where she developed two interview-based plays with local adolescents. Since relocating to Toronto, Iris’ play, Baby, which centres reproductive rights for young people, was curated as part of Talk Is Free Theatre’s “I Do, I Don’t, I Dare!” Festival. Most recently, Baby received dramaturgical support at the Playwrights Atlantic Resource Centre’s Annual Retreat.
