Olivier Choinière

Bio

For more than twenty-five years, Olivier Choinière has worked as a playwright, director and translator for the theatre. He is the Artistic Director and co-Executive Director of L’ACTIVITÉ, a creative company based in Montreal. With his shows, Olivier Choinière explores different forms of representation and seeks to give an active role to the spectator. His texts have been translated into several languages ​​and have won numerous distinctions, including the Michel-Tremblay Prize, the Siminovitch Prize and, more recently, the Marcel-Dubé Prize. Olivier Choinière teaches at the National Theater School of Canada and frequently gives talks and workshops. His texts are published by Atelier 10, Leméac and Dramaturges Éditeurs.
